Timis, Arad and Bihor counties, under Code Yellow for scorching heat

The counties of Timis, Arad and Bihor will be under a Code Yellow warning for scorching heat and high thermal discomfort on Friday, with temperatures rising up to 37 degrees Celsius, agerpres reports.
According to the National Meteorological Administration (ANM), between 12:00 and 21:00, the mentioned areas will experience exceptionally high temperatures, heatwave conditions and elevated thermal discomfort. The temperature-humidity index (THI) will reach, in isolated areas, the critical threshold of 80 units.
Maximum temperatures in these counties will range between 34 and 37 degrees Celsius.
The ANM forecast issued for the last week of August and the first week of September indicates warm weather across the entire country, with maximum temperatures ranging between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius in Banat, Crisana and Muntenia, while rainfall is expected to be isolated and very limited, with a higher probability after 3 September.
