The national currency appreciated, on Monday, in relation to the euro, which was calculated by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) at 4.9759 RON, down by 0.05 RON (-0.01%) compared to the previous quotation, of 4.9764 RON.
Also, the RON gained ground against the US dollar, which was quoted at 4.7871 RON, down by 0.37 bani (-0.08), compared to Friday, when it stood at 4.7908 RON, Agerpres informs.
The national currency also appreciated in relation to the Swiss franc, calculated by the BNR at 5.3453 RON, down, compared to 5.3538 RON, the previous quote.
The gold gram rose in price on Monday, up to the value of 403.2660 RON, from 401.4137 RON, in the previous meeting.
