President Dan discusses in coalition about changes in Package 2 concerning magistrates (political sources)

President Nicusor Dan discussed on Tuesday, in the coalition meeting, the amendments to the 2nd Package of fiscal and budgetary measures concerning magistrates, political sources said.
According to the said sources, the head of state believes that the amendment to the retirement age for prosecutors and judges should include a transition period, referring to those who are currently close to the retirement age according to the current law. The president also spoke on the issue of establishing magistrates' pensions.
Nicusor Dan was present on Tuesday afternoon, for over half an hour, at the Victoria Palace, where a meeting of the governing coalition was scheduled to begin.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and PSD President Sorin Grindeanu, as well as other coalition leaders.
The discussions within the coalition focused on the measures in the 2nd Reform Package.
