The dry vegetation fire, which also included tires and other waste, in the locality of Glina, Ilfov County (close to Bucharest), was located by firefighters.
They intervened on Friday with 22 fire trucks to extinguish the dry vegetation fire.
"Water can only be taken from nearby economic operators. The terrain is not accessible to fire trucks in some areas, so long-distance devices were made, and a backhoe is currently being used to stop the spread of flames," informs the Press Office of the Bucharest-Ilfov Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISUBIF).
Road traffic is restricted on Bucharest Ring Road due to dense smoke from the fire in Glina.
Authorities issued a message on Friday at 4:20 p.m. to inform and warn the population through the RoAlert system for the Glina fire.
