Defence Minister Mosteanu talks with Ukrainian PM Yulia Svyrydenko, counterpart Shmyhal, in Kyiv

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Liviu-Ionut Mosteanu paid an official visit to Kyiv on Monday, where he met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal, informs Agerpres.
According to a release from the Ministry of National Defence, discussions with the Ukrainian prime minister focused on the development of economic cooperation in the military sector and on Romania's participation in Ukraine's reconstruction.
The Romanian official reaffirmed Romania's firm commitment to continue providing multidimensional support to Ukraine and highlighted the country's consistent involvement in international efforts to support Ukraine, both bilaterally and within NATO and the European Union. He stressed that Romania is closely monitoring developments regarding security guarantees for Ukraine and will actively participate in all allied and EU decisions on this matter.
The Romanian Defence Minister reaffirmed Romania's readiness to deepen defence cooperation, particularly by advancing the defence industry and making full use of available mechanisms, with the aim of providing long-term support for the partnership with Ukraine.
Ukrainian Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal expressed his gratitude for Romania's assistance and thanked the Romanian Government and people for their strong partnership and support for Ukraine.
"Romania will continue to support Ukraine for as long as needed, until a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace is achieved, in terms and conditions supported by the Ukrainian people," Minister Mosteanu stated.
